No Child Left Behind Resources for PTAs
Understanding the implications for parents under the "No Child Left Behind" is challenging and will require greater outreach from PTAs to engage families to raise achievement and close gaps. Here are some resources to share with others:

Parent Leadership Associaties:
"No child left behind: What's in it for parents" by Anne Henderson published by Parent Leadership Associates is available for $15: http://www.plassociates.org/publications.html#nclb

North Carolina's Department of Public Instruction (DPI):
Here's a snippet from their webpage:

"ABCs of Public Education Connects with No Child Left Behind
Improving student achievement is the goal of the ABCs of Public Education, launched in 1995 in North Carolina, and the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, signed into federal law in January 2002. Several key parts of the new Act are well-aligned with North Carolina's ABCs. For some other states that do not have accountability programs in place, the challenges are greater."

No Child Left Behind (Gov)
From http://www.nochildleftbehind.gov/ comes this website message:
